This is the peak of our ascent and accomplishment, and it’s about to fall apart – into natural disarray such as every environmental cycle: summer into autumn, seeds into sprout then faded bloom, humans who have their own peak ages and begin to decline. This is the point of making our calendar ‘Natural’ – following time as something that innately, instinctually peaks and dissolves, endlessly oceanic.
