Video: All Hands on Deck for Differentiated Instruction
Laurel Magnet School of the Arts is shut down every Tuesday and Thursday for 105 minutes to provide each student with targeted instruction based on their individual needs as identified by data. This video describes the why and how of these differentiated instruction blocks, which the school most credits with their success.
Says one teacher: “[W]hat we do here at Laurel Magnet School is do our best to identify specific deficits for every student and we address those in our differentiated instructional blocks. Our system, our approach, and our procedures, and how we have implemented here schoolwide has been a gamechanger.”
