Intermission Podcast - A Funny Movie Podcast
#141 Live by Night and Pigeon Racing
This week on the Intermission Podcast, the Movie Guys discuss Live By Night and the resulting chaos from trying to get people together to watch it. We then have yet another Star Wars debate where Guy is proven wrong, again. And finally, the Movie Guys get into pigeon racing! Enjoy.
Live By Night
So the Intern invited everyone to see Live by Night at the Silver Screens VII on a Friday of all days! Josh and Corey happily agreed and Guy decided he would just go tomorrow with everyone. Well everyone else was going today so this left Guy at a loss. The movie was really good, though, like all the thumbs good. So if you learn nothing else from this podcast, which you probably won’t, you should go see Live By Night!
Movie Trailers
So before Live By Night, the theater played some nice trailers for us. We all enjoyed The Ghost in the Shell, which Guy is convinced is robot porn. No, android porn, I’m sorry. Then we saw the Kong trailer again, which some of our podcasters believe gave too much away, but we’re still moderately excited for it. Except for Guy, he is hard nipple excited for it. Next, we got all giddy over A Cure for Wellness trailer. It looks amazing. And finally, we got all excited about the Fifty Shades Darker trailer which Corey pointed out had an awesome soundtrack. So we decide we have to go watch just for that.
Princess Leia
So this week the Intern breaks the news to Guy that Disney stated they would not be using Leia in episode nine. This blows Guy’s big plan of them making every dead actor a computer generation, as long as their family consents. Of course, everyone else agrees with this decision by Disney and calls Guy stupid and wrong. This, of course, leads to another Star Wars argument where Guy is again proven stupid and wrong, and this goes on for awhile.
Taboo
Guy, Corey, and the Intern all watched the series premiere of Taboo on FX this week. It was very promising, we will be looking to see where it goes. This somehow leads Guy on to the topic of the number of hummingbirds it takes to kill a bear. The answer may surprise you. Craig watches Rampage: President Down on Netflix. He appeared to enjoy it.
Pigeon Racing
The guys then get into an argument over which is better, Kung Fury or Kung Pow? This is a very confusing argument as no one knows which film is which. It get’s very confusing. Josh then regales us with his story of how he bought a boat from a man who races pigeons. The Movie Guys will now be entering a racing pigeon in the next set. So when placing your pigeon racing bets, drop a dime on the 64:1 “Mr. Fast Crack Lightning McMeth”.
