SF #200 – Success is Chaos

May 10, 2015

On this 200th episode of Success Freaks, chaos runs rampant!  Mordant & McFall illustrate Chaos Theory.  The chatroom asks, “How can we find peace in chaos?”  In this week’s Level Up, the guys play Good Cop/Bad Cop.  In On Beyond, we learn how to accept “I don’t know.”

Segment One -
The Bear’s Den gets re-arranged and Charles gets the Coffee Burps.  Mordant attends the Muriel Moore/Danny Nelson SAG-AFTRA Conservatory: Atlanta Agents on the New Atlanta event with last week’s guest Carrie Anne and was struck by what he learned and how it applied to this week’s topic.  So what does “Success is Chaos” mean?  The guys talk about Chaos and how it can act as a motivator.
Segment Two -
Mordant tells us about Ryan Holiday, his book “The Obstacle is the Way,” and the idea that “Through chaos lies the road to success.”  Charles and Mordant talk about how they each handle chaos in different ways.  Should you avoid or seek chaos?
Segment Three -
Comment from the Chatroom: Agent Klotz, co-host with Charles on the “From The Helicarrier” podcast podcast, feels the chaos that Charles brings everyday makes the show better.  He feels that chaos can have a positive impact “as long as there is a balancing source.”  The guys discuss balance and “Riding the Chaos.”  Listener Mike thinks, “Without chaos there can be no measure of success.” Mordant agrees and discusses how overcoming chaos is the act of exercising control over your reality.  Charles tells us about achieving a level of comfort in chaos.  Mordant gives examples of people who have overcome chaos and achieved a level of greatness.
(Listen to Success Freaks Live each week and join the Chatroom!  It’s an amazing way to participate in the show!)
Segment Four -
Level Up - Embrace the chaos and use the challenge to Level Up!  Charles & Mordant discuss specific ways that challenges have helped the two of them and people in their lives move forward and Level Up.
Charles plays Bad Cop and talks about how he used the chaos caused by negative events to make the choices that led to success.  Mordant plays Good Cop and talks about pursuing the challenges that chaos brings.
Segment Five -
On Beyond Success Freaks: Charles & Mordant go Bigger Badder Better More... Lots of CHAOS on the show today.
(Another reason to join the guys LIVE in the chat room every Tuesday around 10:30-ish am…
That's the time they interact with the listeners in a one to one manner. It’s a lot of fun!)
Klotz in the Chat Room mentions that he can handle chaos best as a member of a team.  Charles notes that teamwork is indeed important.  Mordant notes that he handles chaos differently depending on the size of the challenge.
Charles talks about the benefit of “I don’t know.”  Don’t fear hearing the phrase and don’t be afraid to USE the phrase.  Just make sure you don’t use it to avoid a challenge!
