Turks and Caicos: Bucket List: Amber Sandberg: 242

Do you want to go to an island with the most turquoise water you will ever see?

As the world opens up it is very clear that this is the best time to start using a travel advisor, each country has their own rules and testing requirements.  So do yourself a favor and making your life easier with advisors like myself.  So, let's jump into why Turks and Caicos needs to be on your bucket list.  My stay on the island was amazing in large part because of my amazing accommodations. I stayed at The Palms and its sister property The Shore Club. These resorts were just stunning. I stayed in a one bedroom ocean front suite and it had a fully equipped kitchen that was beautiful, a master bathroom and half bathroom, dining area, living room with a pull out couch and a laundry room that is perfect for families! One of the perks of staying at these resorts is that you can get a shuttle to each resort to eat at their restaurants. Taxi's can get really expensive on the island so the fact that you can use their shuttle for free is an amazing perk. If you were to stay there for 5 days or more I highly recommend staying in each resort and doing a split stay so that you can do beach to beach. The Palms is on the famous Grace Bay Beach and The Shore Club is on Long Bay Beach and they are two very different beaches. Grace Bay Beach is large and perfect for taking long walks in the morning or in the evening. The water is amazing in this beach, you can go paddle boarding, snorkeling, and kayaking if you like. Long Bay Beach doesn't have as big of a beach but it has Palm trees and is very shallow so it's perfect if you just want to relax in the beautiful blue water and let the kids play around without having to worry it's going to get too deep. If you are adventurous you may want to give Kite Surfing a try, there are Kite Surfing schools right next to The Shore Club. It was really fun to watch people give it a try. Since the water is so shallow even further out you can easily stand out there waist deep learning how to Kite Surf. If you want to change things up a little you can check out this Tiki Bar in the middle of the water, you can do that by taking a catamaran from The Shore Club and enjoy a few hours in the beautiful turquoise water, listening to music drinking your favorite drink. If you love food, these resorts are a must, The Shore Club has The Almond Tree and it has Southern Comfort food and everything I had was delicious, not to mention the ambience is gorgeous. When staying at The Palms you have to try the fried conch, steak and mashed potatoes and both places have desserts that are to die for. Oh and if you love bread and pastries, then these resorts are for you since they have their own pastry chef that makes chocolate croissants for breakfast and tasty sourdough and focaccia for dinner.
I highly recommend Turks and Caicos if you are looking for clear turquoise water, a place to have fun and chill at the same time. You can get there under an hour and a half from Miami, it's a perfect Caribbean getaway for anyone.
