While teaching the core subjects, such as Math and English, is pretty straightforward, incorporating other important topics like health and fitness can be more challenging. Adding to the challenge is that military families move around a lot, so often find themselves in a new community, unfamiliar with what’s available by way of parks, recreation centers, gyms, health classes, and the like.

Luckily, there are some easy ways to include health and fitness into busy homeschooling days without having to know every playground in the area.

Here are 4 (Easy) Tips for Incorporating Health and Fitness Into Your Homeschool Day:

1. Let your kids help with meal prep

2. Add a unit study on nutrition to the homeschool agenda

3. Take your kids on “learning” hikes

4. Incorporate movements into your homeschool schedule

Listen in as Crystal shares more about the four ways to teach kids about homeschool health and fitness with things you already have or no supplies at all, and the best part is, in some cases, your kiddos won’t even realize they’re learning.
