This episode begins with Jesse Hattrup, MESPY winner for 2A Tennis Player of the Year. Hattrup discusses his four-year career at Edwardsville, which included four trips to the state tournament, his top matches of the year, what he'll miss about playing tennis at EHS, and his decision to attend Notre Dame.
Next up, we recognize 3A Boys Basketball Player of the Year, Alex Stell. Stell, a University of Illinois at Springfield commit, talks about his love of the game, his style, and his maturation process at Waterloo. He also discusses a few of his favorite dunks. Seidle shares what he'll miss most about him next year, and the lengths to which other teams went to attempt to stop him.
Rounding up the show, we talk Civic Memorial Girls Basketball with Head Coach Jeff Durbin and star guard Avery Huddleston. Durbin accepts the the MESPY for 3A Girls Team of the Year; Huddleston is 3A Player of the Year. Durbin talks about the success in this his first year at the helm. Huddleston describes how "Coach Durb" helped her find her love for the game again.
