On Monday, we learned that a long-time friend and former co-worker had passed away over the weekend. The world of country music insiders is small, so the tributes flowed on Facebook. I'd known Tom Moran for nearly 30 years, and we worked together for almost a decade. Like many in the business, Tom was very passionate and opinionated. Some loved him, and some didn't. I know that feeling well. But it bothered me when I saw a few pay tribute to him online. All they said was, "he was a good man." Perhaps I was wrong, but I took it as a dig.
