Parking garages and pay lots have been around for a long time, but now they are everywhere. Many don't even have meters or a machine that spits out a ticket you place on your dashboard. Now, many lots are automated and use license plate readers. It's a great system when it works. Of course, it's far from perfect and can often be a huge hassle...
