Introduction and Katherine Knapp’s Journey

Dr. Barbara Hales: Welcome to another episode of Marketing Tips for Doctors.

I’m your host, Dr. Barbara Hales. Today, we have with us a very interesting guest, Katherine Knapp. Her journey toward improving patient outcomes began years ago when her mother died of lung cancer at the age of only 57. She later lost her three siblings at young ages due to various cancer deaths.

Katherine is on a mission to teach others how to prevent diseases before they take hold of us and those we love. After years of personal research on the proven link between diet, lifestyle, health, and longevity, Katherine became certified to work with doctors to help families avoid the heartache of losing loved ones to preventable diseases. As she continues her work with practices nationwide, providing science-based healthy diet and lifestyle education and nutrition, she extends her guidance to individuals and families on their journeys toward improved health and well-being. Welcome to the show, Katherine.

Katherine Knapp: Thank you. Thanks for having me. It’s so nice to be here.

Dr. Barbara Hales: It’s nice to have you. You know, I’m sorry that your mission was born out of such sadness and sorrow. I’m sorry about your siblings and your mom. That must have been extremely tough. So, for you to emerge from the ashes and say, “I’m going to do something positive,” is really very commendable.

Katherine Knapp: Thank you. It really just evolved by natural causes. It was something so blatantly important to me after losing my mom at such a young age. There were so many lessons learned in that because she was young, and she had put off a lot of things that she wanted to do until later in her life. Then tragically, her life was cut short. So, there was a lot of that lost opportunity for her, and it taught me many lessons.

Dr. Barbara Hales: So, you’ve been trying to accomplish her bucket list for her?

Katherine Knapp: I’d say I’ve already accomplished her bucket list. My parents were married in the 50s, and back then, all she really wanted was a good, happy family. Unfortunately, my parents got divorced when I was eight, and she missed out on that. I’ve been married to my husband for 37 years next month. I feel like I’ve broken the mold. I have a happy family, and now I’m at a point where my kids are older, and I can focus on my career and on giving back to others.

The Link Between Lifestyle, Diet, and Health

Dr. Barbara Hales: There are many studies that show our resistance toward fighting cancer comes from managing stress. Do you recommend that people practice meditation or other relaxation techniques to prevent diseases like cancer?

Katherine Knapp: 100%! I believe stress is like a perfect storm. I work with health professionals all across the country, and we talk about prevention all day long. When it comes to prevention, we focus on factors like diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and the feeling of belonging to a community. These are the modifiable factors we can control to play the game with the hand we’ve been dealt genetically. When we throw in environmental factors like pollution and toxins, it becomes a perfect storm. Managing stress is crucial because no one is going to be completely stress-free, but it’s how you handle it that matters.

Dr. Barbara Hales: Absolutely. How do you help health professionals improve their patient outcomes?

Turnkey Solutions for Health Professionals

Katherine Knapp: We have turnkey solutions that we integrate into medical practices. At the foundation of it all is education. We educate the patients on how what they put into their bodies through food and environmental exposure affects their overall health. We also educate health professionals about scientifically proven ingredients that can slow or reverse negative health trends. For example, when a patient’s blood pressure starts creeping up, instead of waiting for full-blown disease, we intervene early with science-based targeted nutrition. Through lab results, blood tests, and hormone testing, we marry the results with proven ingredients to improve outcomes.

Early Intervention and Preventive Care

Dr. Barbara Hales: Can you explain how you work with doctors to test patients and provide nutritional advice?

Katherine Knapp: We work with doctors of various specialties. Cardiologists, for example, focus on heart health, blood sugar management, and cardiovascular health. Across all specialties, inflammation is the root cause of many health issues. Whether inflammation manifests as heart disease for cardiologists or joint pain for orthopedists, the goal is to address the underlying causes of disease progression. We aim to support the body’s systems to prevent disease from taking hold.

Building a Loyal Patient Base While Increasing Revenue

Dr. Barbara Hales: Tell us about the systems you have in place to create a more loyal patient base while increasing revenue.

Katherine Knapp: Patient loyalty is critical for growing a practice. We provide customized websites for practices with science-based nutritional formulas. We use name-brand ingredients at therapeutic levels proven in scientific studies to produce the desired result in patients. With our patented delivery system, which provides 95% bioavailability, patients feel the difference quickly. This improves loyalty, and patients are excited to share their experience with friends. This word of mouth can also grow the practice’s referral base.

Isotonic Nutraceutical Delivery System

Dr. Barbara Hales: Your delivery system enables fast absorption in the body, right?

Katherine Knapp: Yes! Our formulas are in isotonic form, meaning they are absorbed very quickly into the small intestine without digestive deterioration. Within five minutes, patients experience 95% bioavailability—similar to the effects of an IV.

Dr. Barbara Hales: Is there any special water needed for this, like distilled water?

Katherine Knapp: No, you can use any water, though we recommend avoiding tap water in cities. Distilled or filtered water is best.

Recommended Foods and Avoiding Processed Items

Dr. Barbara Hales: What foods do you recommend people avoid, aside from the obvious?

Katherine Knapp: I recommend eating as close to nature as possible. Organic options are always better, whether it’s grass-fed meats, free-range eggs, or fresh vegetables. The goal is to avoid processed foods that are loaded with hydrogenated oils, preservatives, and extra sodium. Shop around the edges of the grocery store, where all the good stuff is—fresh produce, meats, and dairy.

Educational Programs for Health Professionals

Dr. Barbara Hales: What tips can you give our audience to not only help their patients become healthier but also increase revenue?

Katherine Knapp: Education is key. We are not just a supplement company; we are an education company. We offer CME and CU credits through the American Medical Association, teaching doctors the science behind specific ingredients and how they support various body systems. By educating patients on how nutrition affects everything from energy levels to stress and fat storage, doctors can improve patient outcomes and increase revenue through supplement sales. We make it seamless by offering a website for doctors to refer patients to, where supplements can be drop-shipped directly to the patient’s home. The doctor receives the profit without the hassle of stocking inventory.

Closing Remarks
