Original Science Fiction – Makeshift Stories
The Elysian Star
After what she believes to be 5000 years, automated systems wake Dorian's mind and download it into a temporary body. The process is supposed to be part of a maintenance cycle to keep Dorian's race alive while machines terraform the planet they are orbiting. However, only hours into her seven-day stint, she discovers things are not as they seem.
