Research at Dehavilland Zeppelin (DZ) progresses far enough for Amos, AKA Daniel Johnson, send a message to Ceres. At first, the dwarf planet remains silent, and Amos is concerned that no one is listening. Serene, arrested along with Tim and Patel’s assistant is taken to meet Johnson. As soon as she is in the same room with the head of DZ, she knows who he is but not how he escaped. Merit is about to turn off the radio antenna on Ceres for the last time when it finally detects a signal.
