EP. 146 | Jeremy Boerger
Talking Points:
- IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management
- Taking an idea to a entrepreneurship
- Becoming an author
- How to find a good mentor
My work in asset management started way back in 2000 fighting the Y2K bug. At that time, I set out to approach ITAM in a way no one had tried before: I began combining data theory with automation and self governance while consultants were answering tickets and running inventories when I began.
The Pragmatic ITAM Method grew out of the success of my experiment and today, companies and organizations hire me to implement better solutions and coach their teams to ensure the positive results are permanent. The result is my book, “Rethinking Information Technology Asset Management,” now a best-seller on Amazon.
I also tour the country, speaking at various technology conferences and symposiums. I’m on the Board of Advisors at Neocor, a startup which looks to leverage the benefits of blockchain technology in the software asset management space. My previous roles before starting Boerger Consulting include: Mercy Health, Atos, JPMorgan Chase, General Electric, and TriHealth.
When I’m not traveling or staring at multiple monitors, you’ll find me hanging out at home in Cincinnati with my wife, our kids, and our very large dog
