Founded in 1981, Magnificat®, A Ministry to Catholic Women, is an international nonprofit with more than 70 Chapters worldwide. The ministry exists to evangelize and encourage Catholic women to grow in holiness by opening more fully to the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The inspiration for Magnificat® comes from Mary’s words in Luke 1:46 — “My soul magnifies the Lord.” The scene of the Visitation reflects the heart of the ministry: women coming together in faith, joy, and the Holy Spirit.

Through quarterly gatherings that include meals, praise and worship, guest speakers, and powerful testimonies, women (and men) are inspired to deepen their relationship with God in a welcoming, Spirit-filled environment.
