Magnificat® Ministry Presents Magnificat® Proclaims. In this episode, Pat Higginbotham, Assistant Coordinator for Magnificat’s Central Service Team, shares her unique story of gravitating toward Catholicism and eventually becoming Catholic as a young wife and mother of three. Pat, married to her husband Chuck for 51 years, is a mother to three and grandmother to twelve grandchildren. Pat was a Prayer Group leader in her previous parish and coordinator of the Magnificat Chapter in Morgantown, West Virginia.

In this podcast, Pat, initially baptized into the Methodist faith, relates how, in her early years, she became curious about the Catholic religion. Later, she met Chuck, a practicing Catholic, and they married. Pat discusses how sometimes we become closer to Christ during the difficult and unsettling times in our lives and how she found purpose in being directed by the Holy Spirit in ministering to friends and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Pat’s journey is a testament to the importance of discernment and listening to God’s call in our lives, and she shares some hard lessons learned until she could distinguish His call.
