Testimony of Fr. Steven Leake

Father Steven Leake is the pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Marrero, LA. He was raised in the West Bank with 5 siblings in a devout Catholic family. He speaks highly of his mentors growing up, his father and two priests that suggested he consider a priestly vocation. After two years of college studies, Father Stephen joined the Salesian Seminary program at Don Bosco College in Newton, New Jersey. He was in formation for 13 years as he spent time in Guadalajara, in a second program.

Fr. Steven Leake graduated from Seton Hall University. He was ordained a priest on August 26, year 2000. For 30 years he served in parishes around the United States and in Mexico. In his discernment to return home to his Diocese in New Orleans, he spent a month in Medjugorje, and he received the same powerful message from the Blessed Mother, his confessor and a visionary. ‘To not be afraid to hold Jesus.’ He shares how this message strengthened his faith and transformed his priesthood.

Father Stevens favorite scripture is John 21:15-17 ‘When they finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon, Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these? Yes, Lord, you know that I love you. He said to him feed my lambs.’
