At a poetry open mic event in a beautiful coffee shop in downtown Atlanta I heard the remarkable Candace D. Henry reading her own work.

With a passion for writing since childhood, Candace now lives her dream as an author, writing about expression, illumination, motivation, awareness and change. As an empathic writer who explores the highs and lows of human relationships and interactions through poetry, fiction, and nonfiction outlets. Her debut book, Everything But a Smile,  is a poetic emotional journey through awareness and healing, covering relationships, self-reflection, sexuality, parenthood, society, abuse, health, heartbreak, and love.

As a painter, Candace expresses her emotions and channeled visions with oil pastels and acrylic mediums. Considering creativity a gift which resides within everyone, she coaches groups and individuals on creative realization and expression.

With the ability to see profitable opportunities in most instances, Candace coaches new and experienced entrepreneurs toward their dreams.
