Performing a crystal layout involves placing stones on and around your physical body to create a shift in your energy field.  Crystal layouts can follow geometric patterns or may be done intuitively. The overall purpose is to direct the flow of energy from the stones to shift the energy within your body, mind, spirit, and life.
 

Crystals can work wonders to help open you up to receiving intuitive guidance and messages from your spirit guides and angels.  This simple crystal layout for intuitive guidance can open your Third Eye and facilitate a connection with the divine.  These stones will help assist you in tapping into your psychic gifts. This will aid you in learning to trust your own intuitive guidance.

The following crystal layout for intuitive guidance is an excellent starting point for your work.  However, there’s no substitute for following your own intuition and inner guidance when it comes to working with your stones.  It’s important that you trust your instincts and begin to develop your own style of healing with your crystals.

You may feel called to change the order the stones are placed, make substitutes for the stones used, or move the placements of your crystals.  Over time, you’ll begin to feel more comfortable with these changes. You’ll learn to trust your inner guidance when it comes to your crystal healing work.

Opening Your Third Eye
Start by placing an Amethyst crystal over your brow at your Third Eye Chakra.  Amethyst opens you up to your inner guidance (especially if you’ve been closed off to your intuitive gifts or if you have trouble trusting your insights).

Substitutes for Amethyst in this Layout: Charoite, Purple Opal, Ametrine.

Next place a Herkimer Diamond (a special type of double-terminated Quartz crystal) above the Amethyst stone, near your hairline. Make sure that the points of the crystal are parallel with your spine.

Connecting with Your Guides and Angels
Next, place a small Angelite stone over your Throat Chakra.  This crystal facilitates communication with your spirit guides and angels.  After placing the Angelite stone, you may invite your guides or angels into the space to share their wisdom and knowledge with you.  If you have a specific question to ask, you may ask it once you feel the presence of your guides in the space.

Substitutes for Angelite in this Layout: Blue Lace Agate, Blue Calcite, Blue Chalcedony.

Completing the Layout Process
When you feel ready, take a few deep breaths, wiggle your fingers and toes, and come back to the present moment. Slowly remove the crystals in the opposite order they were placed. You may wish to take some time to journal about your experiences.
