Logically Faithful-Beyond Opinion
2.24 What Women want to say to men but can’t: With Denis Mcallister on #metoo, feminism, masculinity, manhood and womanhood
I was on my way out of my one of my best humanities classes (a requirement for my BA degree) when something happened to me I would never forget, all my life. It still shocks me even to this day.
Listen to the podcast to hear about it. This week, I move away from the normal vision of Logically Faithful and discuss masculinity with the one and only Denise C. McAllister. She is an amazing writer and coauthor of New York Times Bestseller Spygate and “What Men Want o Say to Women (But Can’t)” which is now available for preorders on Amazon and will be released in February.
She is a Christian (Anglican) who studied theology at Reformed Theological seminary in Orlando.
Denis says that
“A “real man” was a man who used his strength to defend and cherish his family, community, and nation. The purpose of his sexual vitality was to bear children and connect with his wife, and his emotional quietude was to endure the hardships of caring for those under his charge without complaint. By controlling his emotions instead of spilling them for the world to see, those under his care were free to express theirs and find strength in him.” You can read the rest of her article here.
Her new book is coming out soon–reserve your copy
What do you think? Why are some men not behaving in a masculine way? What does that even mean today?
Here also is a great video I found that helps address this issue in under 5 minutes by Allie Stuckey the host of “Allie” on CRTV and the Podcast “Relatable”.
