“Show your children a life worth imitating!”

In this episode, Rachel-Ruth Lotz Wright, shares from her book, Jesus Followers: Real-Life Lessons for Igniting Faith in the Next Generation. Rachel is the granddaughter of Billy Graham, and gives some insights about their upbringing to provide spiritual wisdom and practical advice for raising the next generation of Jesus Followers.

If we want our children to look to Jesus and trust Him completely throughout their lives, we have to demonstrate an authentic love for Him in our homes. The good news is that whether or not you were raised in a godly home, it can always start with you.

• Our choices can be the hinge for generations to come
  
• Make your faith your own and then let your kids see it
  
• Demonstrate a love for God by being in His Word
  
• Our hunger for the Word grows as we meet with Jesus
  
• ^“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.” ~ Ephesians 1:17 
  
• Enjoy and love your kids consistently through each stage of life
  
• Many battles for our kids are won through our prayers
  
• As our children grow older, we need to release control and trust the seed of God’s Word planted in their hearts will grow
  
• Pass the baton to your children so they can learn to run
  
• Be the same person at home as you are in public
  
• The way we live speaks louder than the words we say
  
• When we continually put the Word into our hearts, we always have enough to pour into others
  
• Pray for your kids and share God’s Word with them every day
  
• No matter what is going on in the world, lead your kids to see it through faith rather than fear
  
• Show your kids the joy that can only be found in Jesus in the midst of trials
