Listen To Your Footsteps
Redesigning the World with Mokena Makeka
In this episode of Listen To Your Footsteps podcast, I chatted to Mokena Makeka, architect, designer, urbanist and curator about African design, navigating new spaces - having grown up in the US and Lesotho -, projects he's most proud, the poetry of architecture, and so much more. He also speaks on how hip hop helped him find his space moving to Cape Town, his forays into Agave spirit and comic books and the need for Black architects and designers as an example for the generations that follow.
Mokena is currently a Principal at Dalberg Advisors, was the founder of Makeka Design, has been a Tutu Fellow and a member of the World Economic Forum's Global Council for Design.
