  • Steam gave a Smurf a fkn blowjob

  • HTH do you sort sales?

    • There’s a button in the top right of the games list

      • The one that does not list sales? That one?

        • Oh sales… Right! I was not on that mindset. Carry on!

        • Worst case scenario you can still sort by lowest price.

  • Well, at least it lets you filter out early access games

  • After a refresh, all the recommended games have linux versions, so that’s good

    • It also does an OS Check and only shows you the system requirements for the platform you’re on.   Handy

PC gaming is dead

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

http://store.steampowered.com/app/730/?snr=1_7_15__13

  • Zero fucks given

  • Shout out to Andrew Pyle for Giving me a copy

    • ^

  • Had to delete the libgcc_s and libstd6++ they bundled with the game so it would work on the open sauce drivers.

Counter-Strike: Gone Home

  • passwrd: marchofpenguins

  • It’s about goddamn time

  • Now I have some hope for IceWind Dale EE

There is no Gauntlet delay – It’s totally delayed!11! #clickbait

http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/gauntlet-linux-version-delayed-for-steam-machines.4348

  • They said it would be ready in 2015

  • That said, don’t give them a FK mothering dime until it ships

    • That’s our new philosophy.   No money until it’s released and we see the penguin on that store page

    • That said, Red Jordan need Gauntlet badly

  • Also, valve should really put a moratorium on putting the penguin icon on the pre-order page unless the developer can guarantee a parallel release

    • While I hella agree this lot were straightforward about Linux coming later.

Chase The Dragon

http://store.steampowered.com/app/250560/

  • *patiently waits for Heroin Hero*

  • Pure hack’n slasher, done in the Unity engine.

  • Heavy focus on user created levels.

  • How long has this thing been in early access now?

DG2: Defense Grid 2

http://store.steampowered.com/app/221540/?snr=1_7_7_230_150_1

  • Yet another Tower Defense game.   Apparently, this is the definitive one though

  • Good on them for using SteamOS for their linux requirements.   Let’s start seeing more of that

Neverending St-… erm… Nightmares!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/253330/

  • It’s out of Early Access now

  • Looking at the screenshots, I feel this game is somewhat familiar

  • Oh great, now I have morning wood

The Cool Biker Game With a Temporary Name

Demo: http://wild.game.free.fr/

  • Gather round crackers. Uncle Venn will give you some free advice

  • Have a working link to the alpha on your funding page

  • Don’t host the demo on a server located in Middle FK mothering Earf!

  • Proofread yo shite

  • “In this way one will not have to lean by heart a track to be able to compete with hard core players”

  • 4 of your 8 backers should not be the same person. That looks sketchy as hell.

Shocking

http://freegamer.blogspot.de/2014/09/citadel-makes-big-promises.html

  • Darkplaces remake of the OG System Shock

  • December 23rd release date, so we’ll see what comes of it then

Square Heros

http://www.desura.com/games/square-heroes

  • It’s a fancier looking Liero, which itself was real time worms

  • Brought to you by the Gubment of Space Australia

Lutris 0.3.5

https://lutris.net/

  • …â€we have every emulator compiled and packaged for Lutris itself and can install anyone of them whether they are made available to your distro or not, all this without root access.â€

    • Nice!

  • GOG, Humble and TOSEC integration to be available in 0.3.6

  • WHAR PPSSPP?!

AM2R Demo 1.33

http://metroid2remake.blogspot.com/2014/09/am2r-demo-133-released-huge-update.html

  • Engine reimplementation of Metroid 2: Return of Samus.

    • Now you can play it on your PC.

  • Changed from Game Maker (8?) to Game Maker Studio

    • Gives better performance and better cross platform-ness

Hippies… Hippies!

http://bitoutsidethebox.com/autumn/

  • Patchouli Hero

  • So this is Zen Buddhism, the game?

    • Actually, apparently it’s based off of the philosophy of a guy named Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, who tried to combine tantric and vedic philosophy

    • Still hippy nonsense though

Game: WasteLand 2

Webzone: https://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/

Devel: inXile Entertainment

Engine: Unity

Price: $39.99/€34.99

Wazzat: Wasteland 2 is the direct sequel to 1988’s Wasteland, the first-ever post-apocalyptic computer RPG and the inspiration behind the Fallout series. Until Wasteland, no other CRPG had ever allowed players to control and command individual party members for tactical purposes or given them the chance to make moral choices that would directly affect the world around them.

Makes with the working

V-

  • Had a hiccup where the map rendered solid black but it only happened once.

J-

  • Cloud sync worked with a unity game for once!

P-

Total-

Shiny / Sounds

V-

  • Considering the engine the game looks fantastic. Brown …everywhere

  • I was a bit confused about WTH they would use motion blur in a TBS

  • Audio is is hella snooze inducing but the voice work is above average.

J-

  • I always thought that infinity engine games aged rather gracefully

  • This reminds me of a slightly nicer looking infinity engine….done in unity

  • Voice acting is decent too

P-

  • The graphics, while I get it was an art choice, look dated.

    • So dated in fact, that I don’t get why I need to play the game on close to the lowest settings to get 30FPS.

  • Background music is Mark Morgan showing the world he’s still got it.

    • It sounds like Fallout 1 and 2 had a cowboy baby.

  • The live action intro cutscene was, in my opinion, out of place. It looked “off†regardless of how many times I saw it.

    • Dan Swick on Twitter asked if I had thought it was as much an anachronism as he did.

      • After googling “anachronismâ€, I have to agree.

Total-

Control

V-

  • Hard to FK this one up.

J-

  • If you’ve played baldur’s gate, you know exactly how this works

P-

  • Considering Brian Fargo was working at Black Isle at the time, this is more like Icewind Dale.

    • WHICH CONTROL THE EXACT FUCKING SAME

Total-

FUN

V-

  • I wanted to like it, I genuinely did.

  • I didn’t go into this thinking “great, another stupid RTS game†no, it was “if any RTS can change my mind organ this will be the one!â€

  • ..it didn’t

  • P-man will get into detail but once I realized you had to micromanage I noped so HARD I might have pulled something.

J-

  • Honestly, this isn’t the game I want.    I want Torment goddammit!

  • Not really the fault of this game.   It plays about as well as you’d expect

P-

  • Now I remember why I didn’t like Icewind Dale/Baldur’s Gate as much as Fallout1/2 and Neverwinter Nights.

  • This is the kind of game that makes me want to micromanage each and every aspect of my characters… and there’s 4 of them!

  • The OG Fallouts and NwN only had 1 main character that you had to worry about.

  • Icewind Dale/Baldur’s Gate and now Wasteland 2 forced me to micro-manage an entire party. And that is a lot of time spent doing the BS instead of actually playing the game!

  • Other than that, awesome Linux RPG if you have the PC to withstand it.

  • I was going to point out exactly why you were wrong in those assumptions, but since you kissed my ass as much as you did, I won’t. But let me introduce you to the Cwang, he has no reason not to.

  • I believe I made it clear that several Terreria CLONES had made it to linux before Terreria proper.   Someone needs to take the chainsaws out of their ears

  • That said, if you like the games, go play them

  • Also, Satrac is Cartas backwards, which translates to Letters (mail)
