Steaming Bridges

Rough idea is that it allows you to launch Wine steam games from the linux client without needing to switch
Requires you to compile a DLL in windows in order for this to work
Could potentially get you banned in games using VAC

Oh Redwood, that’s my GPU’s family!
Okay, but I already have the second gen (aka Madison) with 1GB GDDR3. So it won’t help very much.
Granted… along with all other improvements in Mesa 10, this is more than welcome. Now hurry the fuck up!

FUN?

Is it fun? Yes! Is it as fun the first one was? Personally, I don’t think so.
Portal, the first one, is a puzzle game with a completely optional story. You could play through the entire game without paying the slightest of heed to whatever GladOS was spouting.
Portal 2 on the other hand is a narrative driven game with puzzle sections. It’s also pretty obvious the puzzle and story progression sections are separate things. Something which I feel breaks my immersion a little too often.
From a technical point of view, Portal 2 (even in its Beta state) works better in Linux than Portal 1. Which, effectively, makes Portal 2 more fun to play than the first. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to get the much coveted fourth chair.
