Miracles & Moves

July 12, 2020

What's a queen to do when the intimidating voices of others are telling her what she's unable to do?According to my God, do that ish anyway. Humbly of course, and likely without the "ish". In fact I've found, learned and observed that doing it without humility just makes for a regular ol flesh fight. No God. No miracles. No growth. So when I say love your enemy baby, love your enemy. When you strike, make sure it's when God is telling you to do so and not your ego. Remember that you are not above anyone, not even the people that throw dirt on your name, lie to the stars, moon and anyone that will listen, not the liars, cheaters, evil doers nor shade throwers. Nah, we're all the same in that we're all God's children. So when one acts out, trust that like any good ass parent, God's going to handle it; and handle it in a way that you could never. Hopefully ending in redemption for all involved, if we so choose to be redeemed. YOU, your job, is to be the obedient, humble, child of God. Does that come in warrior, bold stepping, pushing back, faith-taking form? Abso-flipping-lutely. As a recovering victim of mental/emotional/and physical abuse, as a fighter, as a warrior my damn self I can attest to being a humble warrior for my beautiful, forgiving, loving, relentlessly right God. It is in my hopes, as I'm firing off these delicate and yet fire-filled words upheld by the love and grace that God has shown me, that you will feel them and be able to apply them to your life. Because MIRACLES are real. GOD is real. This universe that He created and placed the all mighty Jesus in to assist us with being able to conceptualize some of his goodness, is real. It's all connected. We're all connected. I want YOU to feel all of this and apply it as needed, so that whatever you're going through works out beautifully for you and those attached to you; more importantly for God's glory and the world surrounding you. Imagine if everyone in the world was moving like this, what a more cohesive and thoughtful people we'd be. We have one job as followers of Christ, and that is to love others. Even in war. The Miracle This is long overdue.Aside from the birth of my child, this is one my largest and most recent miracles to date. I will tell of your name to my brothers; in the midst of the congregation I will praise you: You who fear the Lord, praise him! All you offspring of Jacob, glorify him, and stand in awe of him, all you offspring of Israel! For he has not despised or abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, and he has not hidden his face from him, but has heard, when he cried to him.Psalm 22:22-24 ESV Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.Psalm 66:16 ESV Spring/Summer 2014 25 years old: a badd ass (yes, with two d's) mother of a beautiful little, God-fearing, and at this time heart-aching 5 year old little girl. Subject to court imposed visitations against her will. Anyway. The miracle. It started in the beginning of a custody battle. I'm actually still in it today. It was the first round of it all. Wait. No. It started with a heart-wrenching desire to move back to the area I grew up in; established in about 2010 directly after graduation. This miracle started with a dream. After attending school and living in the Hampton Roads area, the plan was to move back once I graduated. Like many of us that move away from the DC area to an area different than our own, I was allowed me the opportunity to see just how valuable the DC area was to me; how blessed I was to be exposed to so much (diversity, grind, drive, culture, openness, movement, etc.).
