157: Celebrating Your Inner Wisdom with Lily Eggers, Mark and Lynne Ryall
Mark and Lynne Ryall are an amazing couple who just like you worked hard on their marriage. For years. Podcasts, books, advice from professionals we've all done it. But how many times have you stopped to celebrate your inner wisdom? Your greatest, how far you've come.
LMFT Lily Eggers shows us how making the time and creating the space to appreciate each other does good not only for the other person but for you too.
You'll want to listen to this episode together with your special someone and do the exercise along. The stage is set, the space is held, now it's up to you whether you'll use it or not.
Mark Ryall recently retired from teaching economics at Royal St. George College (Toronto) and Hillfield Strathallan College (Hamilton) for a combined twenty-four years. His first love in high school coaching was always cross country running. Mark’s newly released speculative fiction Age-Decoded is his first novel. He wrote it to educate himself and the world about the imminent tsunami of CRISPR genetic engineering technology. The story peers 100-200 years into the future, allowing the reader to critically imagine and feel the effects of this incredible new scientific frontier. Mark represented Canada in the 2019 World Age-Group Triathlon Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland. He enjoys acrylic art, and currently serves as a volunteer cross country coach for Westdale Secondary School in Hamilton. His education includes BSc, MBA, and PhD(University of Toronto).

Lynne Ryall has been painting in her spare time ever since high school, experimenting with different styles and techniques. She is drawn back to her first love, impressionistic landscape painting, and much of her work centers on the stylization and abstraction of Canadian landscape. Although most of her subject matter is Ontario landscape, she travels extensively in Canada and abroad, taking opportunities to photograph, sketch, and paint on-site. Lynne paints mainly in oils but also works in acrylic and watercolor. Most of her large canvases are painted in the studio, but she also eagerly paints En Plein air. Lynne took studio space at the Cotton Factory in Hamilton after she retired from a career as a secondary school Visual Art, Media, and History teacher with the Peel District School Board.

Raised and homeschooled on 75 acres of Maine wilderness, Lily delights in bringing the “wild” into her life and work. She adores her career as a Somatic Couples Therapist, igniting kindness, connection, playfulness and passion into her clients’ daily lives. She’s trained with many great practitioners including Stan Tatkin (Psychoneurobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), David Mars (Transformational Couples Therapy) and Stanley Keleman (Formative Psychology). She’s currently writing a book designed to bring her tools, tips and exercises to a wider audience. Her life mission is to change our culture of stigma and shame around relationship therapy/coaching! If you’d hire a coach to improve your tennis serve, why wouldn’t you hire a coach to better your communication or sexual satisfaction? Lily’s next goal is to write and perform a one-woman play about motherhood, identity and psychedelics. She lives in Marin with her husband and two young kiddos.
