Art Eddy and Ryan Hamilton bring on the KzooDad himself, Bryan Alkire, to discuss just how cool and/or uncool it is to be a dad. Bryan is a Stay At Home Dad in Kalamazoo, Michigan. That is where the Kzoo comes from. In 2012 when his older daughter was a little over 2 years old, he left his job as a sales rep to become her primary caregiver.He and his didn't want a daycare to raise their kids, and a recent promotion meant he was going to be the one staying home. This decision became even more important as a few months later when his daughter was diagnosed with a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma. At that time his wife was 8 months pregnant. Now almost three years later, both girls are doing great and getting bigger every day. His wife travels a lot, and unfortunately, misses out on some of the day-to-day adventures the he and his daughters have every day.
