Lent is a reminder of our humanness, and in particular, that we have these bodies which we experience as both blessing and curse! Why did God make us bodily creatures? Why is it important? Why did Jesus have a body? Will we have bodies in heaven? How do I honor God with this body he has given me? We are going to explore these questions, starting this week by attacking a myth many of us feel – that our body is somehow bad, dirty, or shameful. God created our bodies as good, and we want to learn from Jesus how to experience them as good. Ps 139:14 is our text.
