This week we are back in series, looking at the idol of religion (John 17:3). America has always been a highly religious nation – which is good and bad. On the one hand, this creates a positive pressure where true saving faith may be sought and found. On the other hand, it lends itself to a negative pressure where people may take on just the outer shell of religion without any genuine substance. This week we will be looking at three sayings of Jesus that move us away from false religion and toward true faith.
