This Sunday is our “annual check up,” and we are asking the question, what did the early Apostles think a healthy, missional church looked like? One area we find the answer to this in the prayers they prayed for the churches. Their prayers give us a window into the dreams and visions they had for God’s people, and also tell us the dangers to avoid. Our text this week is Phil. 1:9-11, where Paul asserts that the kind of love that lasts and bears fruit doesn’t just happen, but flows out of and experiential knowledge of who God is.
