This week: Acts 28:11-31 – As Paul reaches Rome, we find that the narrative comes to a surprisingly abrupt end. Why? I think those scholars are correct who assert that it is because the story doesn’t end there – each subsequent generation of Christians is called on to continue to write the story. Two questions emerge as Acts concludes: Many throughout the narrative have received Jesus and many have rejected him – which will we be? And second, we have seen the work of Jesus go from Jerusalem to Rome – will we continue the work of being his witness to the ends of the earth?
