This week we are in Acts 27, Paul’s dangerous journey to Rome. What does it mean to say that God is in control? For some, those words bring great comfort, while for others they feel like empty sentiment. In this passage, Paul faces near certain death by shipwreck, the sword, and snakebite. Yet God preserves his life and God’s purposes are still accomplished. This passage gives us insight into God’s power and providence, and our right response in light of these realities.
