So this week we are back in series, and our text is Acts 11:19-30 and 13:1-3 – the church in Antioch. Here we get our first glimpse of the church as it moves out into the Gentile world, and with that, a look at what the church does: it shares the good news of salvation, helps people become like Jesus, and ministers to those in need. God’s holiness (and subsequent act of making us holy) and God’s heart for people will be emphasized.
