This week we are in Acts 12:1-18. While it's easy to think that this story is about prayer (prayer is certainly a main theme), the story is more about the response to God in times of struggle & hardship. The story contrasts two faithful & godly followers (Peter & James) who both experienced hardships (their life was on the line). Despite the fact that one was rescued, while the other was not, they were both faithful to the end. When we face hardships, we don't always know what the outcome will be. So how do we develop a faith in God that can sustain us throughout the hardships that we will face?
