Amos is not messing around at all! This week we are in Amos 5 and a little bit of 6, and he is dropping the hammer on hollow religion, idol worship, and complacent faith.  But this lament is not without some glimmer of hope. He gives us an out in 5:4 “Seek the Lord and live.” This serves as a call back to full commitment to worshipping God alone, and Amos specifically makes a call to doing good, hating evil, and establishing justice in verse 15. These are none negotiables for us who follow Christ, and this will be the focus for this week.
