Israel had a knack for seeing injustice as practiced by others, but was less astute when it came to seeing their own sin.  So God sent Amos to point out the way that they were also violating God’s law. The question we bring to this text is, How can we become people who are attuned to what God wants to correct in us, not just what is wrong in others?
