Contrary to what you may have learned in Sunday School, the book of Jonah is not primarily about a man swallowed by a whale. It’s about running from God, and being angry with God, and, and eventually, learning from God how to be a person of grace. This week we will be in Jonah 1:1-17, talking about running from God, and how even when we do so, God in his mercy pursues us.
