This Sunday we are on word 5: grace – “forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors” (Matthew 6:12). Here Jesus commands us to pray for forgiveness of our own sins, and in the same breath, to release those who have wronged us. Receiving and giving grace is among the most difficult aspects of the life Jesus calls us to, but in him it is both possible and a tremendous blessing for the one who learns it.
