Today we start a new series: Learning To Pray Like Jesus. One time Jesus’ disciples (who were as befuddled by prayer as we often are), asked Jesus to teach them how to have a prayer life like his. His answer is what we call the Lord’s Prayer. Over summer we will be going line by line through Jesus’ prayer, learning how he would have us pray. But his instruction begins with two pieces of counsel on how NOT to pray (Matt 6:5-8).
