Do Science Classes Ever Use Real Models & Experiments To Demonstrate Wind Turbines, Solar Panels, Electric Cars?

April 04, 2022

Instead of claiming that "the five wind turbines in Atlantic City can power 2,500 homes", why doesn't the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) hook those turbines up to 100 homes in Venice Park across the street (with back-up generators) to show how well they work and how much money and fossil fuel they save?  Why doesn't Stockton college use them to power some "green" dormitories or classrooms?  Why not have high schools use solar panels (with back-up generators) to power their classrooms and cafeterias?   Why don't they run a gasoline generator to charge an electric car to see how many miles to the gallon that electric car gets? is a tax-exempt, non-political education organization of roughly 200 citizens who mostly live near Atlantic City, New Jersey.  We formed this group in 2003.
