Liberty and Prosperity

1.3.26 Seth Grossman WPG Radio. Seth Grossman Book: “1676 Project”. What Happened to Kwanzaa? Forget the Somalis, Socialism Always Brings Waste, Fraud, High Taxes and High Prices.

January 03, 2026

Seth Grossman Spent the Last Three Months Writing a History Book:  "1676 Project". Seth Grossman announced that Liberty and Prosperity has an ambitious agenda for the year and requested $30 in annual dues by January 1st to help maintain their media presence. Grossman stated he has finished a new book titled Project 1676, which is expected to be published in about a week. The book is intended as a counter to the New York Times' 1619 Project; Grossman argues that America was not shaped by slavery, but by the "liberty and prosperity" established by Quakers in South Jersey in 1676. What Happened to Kwanza" Grossman discussed Kwanzaa, theorizing that it has disappeared from the media landscape because it was a "fake holiday" created to destroy Christmas and is no longer useful to the political Left, partly due to conflicts with Islamic influence. He commented on the death of Brigitte Bardot, criticizing the media for describing her simply as an "animal rights activist" while ignoring her specific political objections to Muslim immigration and halal slaughter practices. He critiqued the Netflix movie Good Fortune, arguing that Hollywood falsely blames "greedy capitalists" for economic struggles, whereas he believes the real blame lies with government debt and spending. Socialism Always Brings High Prices and Massive Fraud. Grossman agreed with Harry Hurley’s comments regarding rising health insurance premiums, attributing the cost explosion to third-party payment systems. He used the example of his father, a dentist who charged $2 for fillings in the 1960s, to argue that costs remain low when patients pay directly, but skyrocket due to administration and fraud once insurance or the government pays. Join Us For Breakfast Any Saturday in Somers Point. The organization holds weekly breakfast meetings every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Sal's Coal Fired Pizza in Somers Point. SETH GROSSMAN:  I want to first apologize for not sending email updates during the past five weeks. That's because I've been writing a history book. Its called 1676 Project: How Liberty and Prosperity in Quaker South Jersey Shaped America. What does that mean? Well, about five or six years ago, the New York Times did a project called the sixteen nineteen Project. And according to that project, it's a bunch of teaching materials which dominates every school and college in America. And it basically teaches that, well, in Virginia, the first slaves came to Virginia in 1619. And they say that everything about America since then has been based on, conquest, exploitation, and slavery, and that America was an evil country until just about twenty years ago when Obama changed it. And that's why we had to change America from this evil country of 1619 to make it the, the new America of Obama and Biden and Mamdani. And what I did during the past six weeks, I did a lot of research as to how South Jersey was created. And what I found out is that, South Jersey was created by Quakers in 1676 even before, William Penn came to Philadelphia. And, basically, the Liberty and Prosperity, created by Quakers in New Jersey in 1676, made America great for 300 years. If you want America to be great again, we have to start doing what those Quakers did back in 1676.  SETH GROSSMAN:  What happened to Kwanzaa? Have you heard much about Kwanzaa during the past two weeks? JOHN DEMASI: No. Nothing at all. SETH GROSSMAN: Today is either the fifth or sixth day of Kwanzaa.Ten years ago, that was a big deal. It would be in the front page of the paper. The Kwanzaa event would be sponsored by most libraries and schools. It was on TV. Kwanzaa books were all over the children's section of big box stores like Target. Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa, Kwanzaa.  And now suddenly, it's gone. It reminds me of that Sherlock Holmes mystery where the dog that did not bark was more important than the dog that barked. Here's my theory on what happened to Kwanzaa. Now Kwanzaa, of course, was always a fake holiday. It was invented, by this radical, black nationalist in Los Angeles called Ron Everett right after the Watts riots of 1965.  In those days, you had a new group of Black militants who hated everything white. They had Afro hair, the Afro dress, they tried to speak Swahili. And, of course, they did not want black Americans celebrating Christmas and sharing that beautiful holiday with white people. So they invented this fake holiday that only black people in America could celebrate. And it was just black Americans. Black immigrants from Africa, Haiti, and Jamaica never heard of this Kwanzaa holida and wanted nothing to do with it. And the guy who invented it, Ron Everett was a genuine psychopath. He actually murdered people. His black nationalist was feuding with the Black Panthers, another radical black nationalist group.  In 1969, Ron Everett's group murdered two unarmed Black Panthers in cold blood on the campus of UCLA. Later Everett was convicted for sadistically torturing two women in his group with a soldering iron. It was real horrible stuff. He was sent to prison, for about twenty or thirty years. But J. Edgar Hoover, the guy who ran the FBI for more than 30 years liked this lunatic who invented Kwanzaa. That was because J. Edgar Hoover and the FBI hated Communists, and Ron Everett's group was murdering Black Panthers who were Communists. So Ron Everett was somehow released from prison early, he got a lot of his records expunged. Now the criminal Ron Everett is a distinguished academic scholar called Maulana Karenga. Now he is paid to speak at colleges around America, including Stockton. That's where the holiday of Kwanzaa came from, and that's why it was a big deal. So why is it not a big deal this year? And I have a feeling I have two explanations, and maybe our listeners might have some ideas. Number one, I think we don't hear about Kwanzaa because, the whole holiday was invented to destroy Christmas. And it's almost like a mission accomplished. They succeeded in destroying Christmas as a central part of  American public life. We no longer say Merry Christmas. We say happy holidays. And TD Bank was typical of many corporations that actually instructed their employees not to say "Merry Christmas" to customers. So that's part of it. But I also think part of it is the new Muslim influence. It's like we don't need a fake holiday, to destroy Christian America, to destroy Christmas. We now have the Muslims doing it, and and now it's just embarrassing, to to have, you know, black Americans embracing something other than Islam. But whatever it is, it just shows how the left uses things like Kwanzaa when it's useful for their purposes. But as soon as it's not useful anymore, it's gone. It's over its history. They just move on to something else. So I think that's worth talking about. And we will have many other things to talk about in 2026. The media also changed the narrative on Brigitte Bardot. She was one of the greatest sex goddesses for us Boomer guys growing up in the 1960s. JOHN DEMASI:  Yes, sexy French actress. SETH GROSSMAN:  Now the media calls her an animal rights activist. Well, she was a lot more than that. She also spoke out against the mass migration of Muslims to France. And she did mention the barbaric way they slaughtered animals for their Halal meat. But when she died, they didn't mention that. They just called her an animal rights activist. So, it it just you know, that the news is almost everything the news is slanted to promote a certain political agenda, even the death of a beloved French actress at the age of 90. Will Republicans fix health insurance? Harry Hurley talked about this earlier during the week.  Health insurance premiums for many people are going to almost double when they renew this year. And if Republicans and president Trump don't get a handle on this issue, then, it's just going to wipe them out in in the midterm elections and we'll lose control of Congress.  And this failure of Republicans in Washington to deal with health insurance reminds me of the failure of Republicans in New Jersey to deal with high electric bills.  We have high electric bills in New Jersey because Governor Murphy and the Democrats shut down the six power plants. That forced us to buy expensive electricity out of state and caused rates to go up. The only way to fix the problem is to rebuild the power plants to make the rates go down. Very simple issue. And, of course, Jack talked about this on your program and when talking to other Republicans. But he never made it a key part of his campaign, the way a Democrat called Jim McGreevey once made high auto insurance the key part of his campaign. And because the Republicans couldn't come up up with a clear, persuasive message, voters were confused, and Democrats used their issues to define the campaign.  And that message was hate Trump and vote against Ciattarelli because Ciattarelli is with Trump.  I think Harry Hurley was very correct in in pointing out this danger that if Republicans don't identify what is causing, health insurance to go up and have a program for Republicans to bring those costs down. It's gonna be a rerun of what happened in New Jersey. And so I'd like to talk a little bit about, what's causing the, the health care to go up. JOHN DEMASI: Yeah. What is causing it? SETH GROSSMAN: Well, of course, we see the massive fraud with the Somali, clinics, in Minnesota. But I actually grew up watching this train wreck start years ago because my father was a dentist. And I remember in the nineteen sixties when he was, you know, was was fixing teeth, and he was charging $2 a filling in the, in the nineteen sixties. And then suddenly, they had, Linda Johnson and the Great Society, and they had Medicaid for poor people. And they would pay the dentist, you know,
