Grossman on Nuclear vs Wind.

Finland is a small country in Europe with half the people of New Jersey. Last year, Finland built one new nuclear power plant. It now supplies half the country's electricity, and it cut electric rates in half.

Finland now has the lowest electric rates in Europe. Denmark, Germany, and England built ocean wind turbines instead. They now have the highest electric rates in Europe. That's because nuclear power plants run at full capacity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.

Wind turbines work at full power only a 100 days a year. Expensive backup generators burn gas and oil the rest of the time. Wind turbines don't produce enough electricity to pay for themselves.

We pay for them with higher taxes, higher electric bills, and more government debt. All three cause inflation. Let's talk about it over breakfast any Saturday in Somers Point.
