Overworked Lawyers + Too Much Unbillable Time = Higher Burnout Rate – The LeXFactor Briefs
Want to know what’s making news in the legal tech industry? Download this episode of the LexFactor Briefs as hosts Lauren Hoffmann (Lexicon Brand Manager) and special guest host Randy Schorfheide (Lexicon Sr. Manager of Public Relations) review an article highlighting a recent survey regarding how much time timekeepers feel they are spending on nonbillable activities and what their admins think they are doing.
Timekeepers and admins have very different ideas of how much nonbillable work is done by the former. The survey also found that while, many admins feel their firms have provided sufficient automation tools, timekeepers overwhelmingly do not. The end result is more work and a higher chance for burnout. For instance, the survey found that close to 70% of timekeepers think they work too many hours, and 82% believe they spend too much time on nonbillable tasks like administrative work and email management.
