The book is about a man trying to deal with all the distractions of electronic life, so it’s very much about electronic life. He meets a friend in a restaurant who says, “Oh, you’ve got to see this thing on YouTube–it’s incredible. It’s Medea Benjamin talking about drones.” He fires it up and they watch it together there in the restaurant while they’re waiting for their sandwiches to be made, which is so true of life now. But do you then want to see the video? No, because we’re at one remove from that.
