With a book you just dog-ear the pages or you stick in sticky notes. You can get to one place in the book and flip back and forth really easily. And most of the reading systems, at least from main vendors, they’re really optimized for linear reading–you start at the beginning of the book, read to the end of the book–and they’re fine for that, but but if you’re doing any kind of research or more sophisticated reading it’s hard to jump around. It’s easy to set a bookmark, but at least on the Kindle platform it’s hard to get back to a bookmark. You have to make about five taps to get there. So I just think there’s a lot of opportunity there if they want to break into other types of reading like technical reading and education and things like that.
