Legal Bits for Business Revisits the Vault with Tricia Nissen
Farm girl-turned-Twin Cities professional, Tricia Nissen, has always appreciated her roots and the value of history. Tricia is a historian turned suburban communications pro whose love for elders kept calling. Finally, she answered. She started her business, Storyography, to help people share their life stories with their families. Known for being easy to talk to and interested in life’s everyday details, Tricia’s earliest friends were her grandparents and their friends, and today her favorite time is still spent sitting across the table from elders, talking about “the old days.”
Along her career path, she learned the arts of interviewing, writing, and archiving. She spent 19 years in public relations, primarily serving Native American communities, whose respect for elders further inspired Tricia’s passion for capturing oral history. Storyography focuses on interviewing elders, organizing their life stories, and preserving those stories for their kids and grandkids. As one client said, “Tricia is the perfect person to preserve our family history.”
