Kathy Steele is the co-founder of HWC, the Health & Wellness Collaborative with office space in Edina, MN.  She is also the owner of KLS Consulting, LLC since 2014.  By profession Kathy a registered nurse for over 40 years and she is also a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach.  Kathy grew up in the Southwestern part of the United States and served in the Navy for 20 years before settling in MN. Most of those 20 years in the Navy were spent with the US Marines.   She was married and has three grown adult children, a daughter-in-law and a son-in-law.  She especially loves animals and has 2 lovely cats at home. 

Kathy found health and wellness coaching to be a natural extension of her nursing career including 14 years as a clinical nursing instructor teaching pediatrics and mostly mental health.  Kathy has a Bachelors in nursing, a Master’s in Psychology with an emphasis in pastoral counseling, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Integrative Health and Healing, and a certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching.  Kathy offers one-on-one coaching in the office and by phone.  She and her business partner (Lori) and fellow coach offer group coaching, workshops, and retreats as well.  They are also co-leading THRIVE Journeys overseas and in the United States and the first adventure will be in May of 2020 in Tuscany.

Kathy says her calling remains serving others and especially those in the healthcare field, veterans, first responders, and their families.  She loves empowering others to be their own change-makers when it comes to making positive sustainable changes that affect their health and well-being.  She loves to share in their “Ah ha” moments!  Kathy is a Level 1 Integrative Restoration (iRest) Yoga Nidra teacher (a non-movement form of yoga) and is currently completing Dr. Daniel Amen’s Brain Health Coaching Course.
