Poway 2023 Plans
- Mayor Steve Vaus: public safety, water infrastructure, Lake Poway upgrades.
- Deputy Mayor Barry Leonard: ramp up new council members Peter DeHoff and Brian Pepin, water infrastructure, commercial amenities at The Farm in Poway, Poway Center for the Performing Arts.
- Councilmember Caylin Frank: Poway Community Park improvements, expanding programming and services at Mickey Cafagna Community Center, water infrastructure, Poway Center for the Performing Arts.
- Yet no talk about: Poway Road development, Fairfield Project, Outpost, traffic safety, Twin Peaks development, Town Halls, thrift stores, homelessness, Big Stone Lodge, Poway’s identity crisis, climate action plan, affordable housing
Poway Unified School District 2023 Outlook
- Trustee Ginger Couvrette: Career and Technical classes, increased visual and performing arts funding, supplemental learning tools acquired during distance learning.
- Yet no talk about: school infrastructure improvements, another attempt to pass a school bond, CRT/Race/Equity, bullying.
Poway Kiwanis Outlook 2023 Plans
- President Heather Skale: Holiday for Heroes, Key Clubs at Poway High and Cathedral High, Aktion Club for developmentally disabled adults, pancake breakfasts at Villa de Vida/Little League/veterans, serve Community Food Connection/San Diego Blood Bank/Valley Elementary homework club. Also, scholarships for high school seniors, sponsor Miss Poway Pageant, Kiwanis Cup Poway vs Mt. Carmel Football Game.
Rancho Bernardo 2023 Outlook
- Rancho Bernardo Community Dynamo Robin Kaufman: upgrading street medians on Rancho Bernardo Rd and Pomerado Rd, Earth Fair, Chalk it Up!, Patriot Pet Contest, Safety Fair, Santa Snow Day in the Park, pedestrian safety, street quality survey, proposed cannabis outlet, construction at The Trails, Charter Communications/Spectrum utility power revisions, Rancho Bernardo Community Park, RB Off-Leash Dog Park.
- Yet no talk about: specific call outs of Carmel Mountain Road potholes and erosion, Seven Oaks street erosion.
