The Joe Bev Audio Theater Podcast
Son of Harpo Speaks ch. 2 and Uncle Dunkle's Umbrella, Tire and Jalopy
Son of Harpo Speaks chapter 2 by Bill Marx
Uncle Dunkle's Umbrella, Tire and Jalopy by Daws Butler and Joe Bev
From the audiobook, Son of Harpo Speaks:
Bill Marx is the last living person to have worked professionally with the three Marx Brothers: his uncles Chico and Groucho and his father, Harpo Marx. Because Chico and Groucho had children that had written about them, Bill Marx wanted to complete the Marx Brothers' literary trifecta by authoring a book about the personal and professional relationships that he had with his father. Son of Harpo Speaks!, in addition to offering a unique perspective of a very special man and revealing many stories never before in print, is also a book about a ''too-Hollywood-to-believe'' life-altering quirk of fate that ultimately brought him together with his parents.
A review of Uncle Dunkle and Donnie:
From the creators of The Misadventures of Sherlock Holmes, and Old-Time Radio Parodies, comes yet one more nugget of creative gold. It's Uncle Dunkle and Donnie! Every day, little Donnie stops by for a visit with his old Uncle Dunkle, and occasionally Aunt Rapunzel, and the old-timers always have a new story to share with their favorite (and only) nephew.
This collection contains 35 of the aforementioned stories. Sometimes the tales have a lesson for young Donnie, like the story of how Alexander the Elephant learned to remember what his mother told him, and sometimes the stories are just plain silly, like the story of how Uncle Dunkle and Aunt Rapunzel met, high atop Mt. Everest. But always the stories will make you laugh, with that special brand of humor that seems to be all but forgotten in this day and age. That's right, Daws Butler and Joe Bevilacqua are funny without being vulgar. And it's fun for all ages. Some of the jokes are the silly kind that kids enjoy, while others are the more subtle kind that adults can appreciate.
In Uncle Dunkle and Donnie, Joe Bevilacqua conducts an absolute clinic on the art of voice acting. Like it says in the publisher's summary, Bevilacqua voices all 97 of the characters in these 35 episodes. His voices are unique and are delivered flawlessly. And he also writes stories and music! This is quite a talented guy. As with Joe Bev's other Waterlogg Productions, the music and sound effects are well done, and the sound quality is very good.
Hey, do yourself a favor, and take a break from the murder mysteries and vampire stories for a while. Sit back and let the old pros entertain you. This is 5 hours of listening pleasure that you won't regret.

The background for this remarkable revelation unfolded unassumingly over a glass of wine and some conversation in the famous 1960s nightclub, Dino’s Lodge, on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. It would subsequently lead the author to explore the complex life task of dealing with his emotional scars of rejection and the secure feelings of acceptance, the latter due to his overwhelmingly good fortune of having been adopted by two loving parents. Plenty of “show-biz†and “sizzle†are also sprinkled throughout to make for a very enjoyable read.
