Today, I’m in conversation with my very good friend, Alex Kaplan, talking all about purchasing our first home. Alex shares her story of closing on her first property in Los Angeles after spending over a decade looking to buy in that market. But, how did she come to close on a property and secure a mortgage at a time when mortgage rates had doubled? We talk about the emotional rollercoaster of it all – or lack of – as you’ll see my friend is quite unique in this regard. The thought process behind purchasing a home, including the lessons learned each time an opportunity didn’t materialize. The different elements that made this the perfect time for her and her family to buy a home.
