Welcome to Jewish Latin Princess. I’m Yael Trusch, your Host. Today I have a special episode for you. I’m kicking off the new year getting together with Creative Entrepreneurs and fellow podcast hosts Chani Erenthreu, Bari Mitzman and Francisca. What did we talk about? Well, something that is not often discussed but as you will see from our conversation, it’s actually quite important: money and our financial lives. This is the first of a series of collaborations that the four of us are doing. We’ve called it a Meeting of the Minds. And I look forward to being on their respective shows. Chani hosts the podcast Boss Maidel, Bari hosts The Woman of Valor Podcast and Franciska hosts The Franciska Show. So, be sure to check those out and you will catch me there in the next three weeks or so – give or take some changes with the choppy Tishrei schedule – speaking about different topics.
As I said, the topic that I discuss today with these lovely ladies is money, personal finance. And I have to tell you these women were brave. First of all, we kicked off our series of four “Meetings of the Minds”, with probably the hardest topic. Second, they had absolutely no prep whatsoever. Third,  being so early in the game we did not all know each other yet and hadn’t developed the same chemistry and love for hanging out together as we developed over time.
I mean, to say that our closure on our fourth show together over at The Woman of Valor Podcast was bitter sweet is not an understatement. We totally wanted to stay talking to each other more. So, all that to say that I am so incredibly proud of Chani, Bari and Franciska for having done this, as you’ll hear very little feedback from me. In a way I felt like I threw them under the bus because given that this was our first time recording together – so many of us together – it was tricky for me to manage how much to add to what they were saying. One, because I needed to be mindful of the audio tracks and not speak over them otherwise you can’t hear them. And also, because I needed to be mindful of the time. But, I think you know where I stand on many of these questions and if not, I’m happy to share and talk more about this on future Jewish Latin Princess episodes.
I’m thrilled with what you’re about to hear – this entire conversation. Because despite the fact that my guests are younger than I am, in some cases a lot younger than I am, these ladies have their head on straight when it comes to money. We talk about spending, saving, earning, how do we manage it within our marriage, lessons learned, tzedakah and more. My guests were very honest and as you’ll soon hear very relatable.
